Norwegian Solutions Provider Finds Wavelink Studio Highly Adaptable to Clients´ Needs

In order to serve a very diverse clientele, Mandata needed to have access to software solutions that would allow them to build custom applications for clients very easily, and allow them to be transferred to and maintained by the end user.

SOLUTION

Mandata has developed a variety of applications for their customers using Wavelink Studio, including warehouse management, order picking, and delivery applications.

Mandata also uses Activebridge for terminal emulation on the handheld terminals for its customers operating on UNIX or AS/400 host system. It has implemented SNC 24 for management of the Spectrum 24 network.

CASE STUDY

After Mandata creates applications in Wavelink Studio, some customers, such as the Norwegian Postal Service, take over maintenance of the applications. Other customers implement Wavelink Studio to create additional applications.

"The Wavelink concept is recognized as a very good concept," Beijer said. "It is easy to get the customer up and running, and it only takes a day or two of training."

Wavelink SNC 24 is becoming increasingly important to Mandata´s customers. They have become used to the reliable benefits SNC 24 provides. "With SNC 24," added Beijer, "the advantages are the upgrade and management of Access Points, firmware delivery to Access Points, and radio network management. These are profound functions that are drawing the interest of our clients."

SNC 24´s popularity among Mandata´s clients has prompted company officials to use the Wavelink product as a centerpiece of its sales strategies.
