Standard Installation: On Premise

The traditional way of installing Avalanche is “on-premise,” meaning that the servers are installed at the customer’s location and maintained by the customer’s IT personnel.

Software-as-a-Service (SaaS): Avalanche On Demand

SaaS is an approach for delivering software where the software is installed and hosted at a central location with customers connecting over the web to access and use that software. It is also known as “cloud computing” where the software simply resides “in the cloud,” or in other words, on a web server somewhere outside the actual customer’s network. As far as the customers are concerned, they are subscribing to a service instead of purchasing software that they would have to install and maintain themselves. Since the SaaS product is hosted, any systems upgrades can be handled behind the scenes and immediately benefit all customers connecting to that system. Managed Services: Avalanche Managed Services

Avalanche Managed Services is a hosted solution like Avalanche On Demand, instead of installing software as in the on-premise model, the customer connects to Avalanche servers that are hosted by Wavelink or a Wavelink certified partner. With Avalanche Managed Services, all of the administration and management of the system are handled by Wavelink.
