As major carriers, such as Verizon and AT&T, continue to drop unlimited data plans for subscribers in addition to placing caps on voice minutes and text messages, enterprises can be left with very limited protection against outrageous charges. With Avalanche Telicost, you can get real-time data on network and data usage and proactively manage your telecom and wireless costs. Users and network administrators can be alerted when devices are potentially about to incur higher costs associated with roaming, plan overages, large data transfers and changing usage patterns.
Users are able to easily monitor their own data, voice and text usage on their device with a quick summary, as well as the ability to drill down on specific usage details. In addition to seeing real-time usage, administrators can easily generate reports in order to optimize their calling plans. Location tracking and roaming control can be used to track devices that are roaming to minimize unexpected overages as well as to locate lost or stolen devices.
With tight department budgets it’s difficult to manage these types of costs because they vary based on monthly usage. With Telicost it becomes easier to manage these costs and prevent unnecessary expenses. On average Telicost pays for itself within the first month just from the elimination of carrier overage charges.
Avalanche Telicost is now available as an add-on service to Avalanche through Wavelink and its partners. It can be used in conjunction with Avalanche or as a standalone solution. NitroDesk Partnership
Wavelink recently announced a partnership with NitroDesk and their Exchange email security solution for the Android platform, TouchDown. TouchDown secures Microsoft® Exchange data with AES-256 encryption. Together with Avalanche Smartphone and Tablet Management you can centrally configure a server name and then all the users need to do is configure their domain/username and password and they are up and running. With Avalanche and TouchDown all of your Android devices gain the following benefits:
- Mail, contacts, and calendar are securely synched with the Microsoft® Exchange Server
- Runs over Wi-Fi, WAN, LAN or USB
- Data Loss Prevention
- Remote wipe, encrypt, decrypt

Wavelink Partners with iPad Enclosures
As we begin to see more and more tablets in the enterprise, we see more and more customers wanting different options for keeping them secure, scheduling deployments and maintaining them.
