3M Manages Diverse Network of Mobile Devices with Wavelink AvalancheWhen 3M, a global leader in a number of markets from health care and highway safety, to office products and optical films for LCD displays, looked to better manage its mobile devices and wireless infrastructure at some 30 plants nationwide, the global leader in its space turned to the industry leader in the wireless ecosystem space for help. 3M is a Fortune 500 company with worldwide sales of $25.3 billion and more than 79,000 employees, so the idea of managing all of their wireless infrastructure and mobile devices in inventory required a reliable, flexible, and most importantly, effective management solution. In addition, 3M needed to provide a level of wireless security that could not be compromised. So which solution did 3M decide on? After looking at several different options, 3M decided that no other solution could offer the same level of comprehensiveness and device support that Wavelink Avalanche Mobility Center (MC) could. 3M also needed a solution that could work with a wide range of mobile device manufacturers, and Avalanche simply stood out from the crowd with this flexibility. Additionally, as a long time user of Wavelink’s emulation client, Wavelink TE, 3M was familiar with the outstanding product support and innovation that came with Wavelink products.
