Increased European Support Now Available

Providing you with value-added customer service, is important to all of us at Wavelink and we consistently strive to find new ways to increase our service to you. As part of this ongoing mission, we are pleased to announce increased technical support availability for our customers in EMEA.

The additional live support comes from a dedicated Tier 2 support engineer for EMEA customers, who will be available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). Customers who need support after these hours will still be able to connect to a Wavelink support engineer in the United States but now you have access to an engineer for troubleshooting, reproducing issues, logging and tracking issue resolution, and applying patches during GMT business hours.

Metrologic Selects Wavelink Software

Metrologic has selected Wavelink Emulators and Avalanche Mobility Center software for its OptimusPDA handheld device. Through this agreement, the number of mobile device manufacturers pre-licensing and/or pre-loading Wavelink software reaches more than a dozen.

Metrologic is a global supplier of data capture and collection hardware and software for industries including retail, professional services, transportation and healthcare. With the introduction of its first ruggedized handheld, the SP5700 OptimusPDA, Metrologic will ship each unit with the Wavelink software already installed on the device and ready for activation by the customer.

Designed for customers to pick-up and realize immediate productivity and efficiency benefits, the device supports standard wireless infrastructures, uses a familiar interface and now ships with the management tools that are familiar to most of our customers. By purchasing the SP5700 OptimusPDA with Wavelink Emulators and Avalanche Mobility Center, customers will see immediate increase in productivity and ROI.

The Metrologic SP5700 OptimusPDA will ship second quarter 2008 with Wavelink Emulators and Avalanche Mobility Center.

Wavelink is Pleased to Welcome our New Senior Product Manager, Peter Cannon

Continuing in our efforts to improve products based on customer feedback, Wavelink is pleased to announce that Peter Cannon has joined the Wavelink team as one of two new Senior Product Managers. Mr. Cannon brings to our customers and partners over 13 years of experience in software product management and related disciplines, including customer advocacy, project management, and account management. Most recently, Mr. Cannon worked at Mainstream Data, Inc. overseeing product strategy and execution for the Medias suite of content distribution products, including web and client software, backend infrastructure, and internet transmission products. There Mr. Cannon worked with some of the world’s premier information providers to provide software and services that deliver their content to media points around the globe.

Now responsible for Wavelink’s server products like Avalanche Mobility Center (MC), Mr. Cannon will focus on ensuring that Wavelink products continue to lead the industry in mobile device and infrastructure management. He will work closely with our customers and partners to understand their needs and requirements to shape the strategic product roadmap going forward. “This is an exciting time to be a part of Wavelink, with such a great set of customers, partners, and products. Representing the voice of the customer inside Wavelink will afford me the opportunity to help find innovative ways to provide better solutions to their business challenges. We already have a promising roadmap of new products and features currently being developed based on customer requests,” said Mr. Cannon.
